MY TRYST IS A MYTH

Life just seems to pass us by,
It gives us moments of pleasure and joy,
It gives us moments of glory,
Where every moment has a story.

We do not savour moments of thrill,
Our minds remain preoccupied with future frills,
Not a moment do we spare,
To live in the moment that is there.

Far far away is the utopian world,
Which is a whimsical place and makes my life twirl,
Takes me into nooks and crannies which do not exist,
My mind plays games and takes me on a tryst.

My tryst is a myth,
It will never fructify,
The life that I live here and now,
Is the only truth, which needs to take a bow.
